I just bought a used replacement barrel for my TC Hawken stock. Could someone tell me what the length of the rear sight is. The sight on the barrel I bought has only one screw holding it and no other holes line up. I am getting to think it is not a TC sight.

I emailed TC for a schematic and they responded saying they didn't have one. That seems odd.

Any other manufacture sight that will work on the rear and still keep the original front sight?

Thanks in advance,

What brand is the barrel? Should be stamped on it. Green Mountain made replacement barrels for TC Hawken rifles. I have one.

Williams makes sights for the GM barrels. Should fit a TC barrel as well.

In case you aren't familiar, here is a picturte of the Green Mountain logo.

T-C did indeed change their rear sight to one with a shorter base, though I can't pinpoint exactly when. The "new" base was the same one used for the Renegade sights. Getting a 'smith to drill and tap a new hole shouldn't be a bank-breaker. Or...... consider installing a different rear sight altogether. If you only have one hole to deal with, then maybe a that's where you could cut a dovetail....

Thanks for the information. Both holes are there and in good shape. I will just have to find the correct rear sight that is 13/16 from center to center.

Thanks,

TC may have the sight for sale; I recall attempting to buy one from them a few years ago, and if I recall correctly they wanted something like $32 for it.
