Fellas, I need some gun help. The range I work at has a gun that I can't figger out how to disassemble it.

It is:
Winchester, Model 88, lever-action, .308, box magazine fed.

None of our tech books have disassembly instructions and my google-fu is weak.
I need help.
Does anyone know how to get this piece apart?

Apart is not hard, however back together is a whole new ball game. You need to make re-assembly slaves to put it back together.
un parts has a blowup in the catalog.

IMHO clean it out without disassembly with solvents and air pressure. Last one I blued took many hrs figuring out how to get it back together, finally made the slave pins and they worked, with out them it will never go back together.

$12 including shipping (at the Buy It Now price.)

"This 8 1/2 x 11" manual is 56 pages of step by step instructions on how to take the Winchester model 88 rifle apart and reassemble. It is a very good reprint that was drawn by a Winchester employee and gunsmith, A.A. Arnold, in 1958. It also includes trouble shooting and service notes. The instructions are easy to understand for the gunsmith or the gun owner."
