I have tech sites for my Marlin 795. I have been to 2 appleseed shoots and both times my rear sight comes loose. It is a bit frustrating as a shooter to have nice 1/2" groups in the morning and by the afternoon be shooting 2"+ groups.

Do other people have tech sites or any other sights that mount similairly to the small rail on a .22? How did you get them to stay in place? Locktite on the threads of the site doesn't seem to do it. I have been contemplating superglue or epoxy on top of the rail beneath the sight to keep it in place.
What are your thoughts on this?

I have a 795, and had the same issue.

Lock-Tite is your friend. Not on the threads of the screw on the sight itself - but where the metal of the sight contacts the rail.

Yeah I got an email back from techsites he said put locktite between the rail and sights. So I will try that out.

He also said that the sights have a bit of a hard time clamping to the rail at first due to the coating Marlin uses.

I have to say I am impressed with the quick response from tech sites. I had an additional issue with the sight and they are sending me a replacement part.

I've had the same issue at four AS's when using or sharing my 795. In fact I've broken 2 of the screws, TechSights replaced them and changed one of the pieces or got a stronger tempered screw I believe.

BTW, if you ever scope it skip the traditional 2 scope rings and use the leapers one piece mount. It provides a really long grip on both sides (100mm). Plus its not terribly expensive or soft material despite price and make.

This. The older screws will snap in two if torqued enough and with Loc-tite.
