ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Annapolis, Md., police said a 13-year-old student is accused of threatening to recreate the Columbine school shootings.
Police were called to the school when the principal at Saint Martin's Day School heard that the student was planning an attack.
A search of the student's home turned up homemade guns, paintball guns and papers with violent images on them.
Officer Kevin Freeman said it does not appear that students at the school were in imminent danger. He said the student was trying to recruit other students from the school to participate.
The student was arrested and charged with disrupting school activities. He was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation. END
My daughter goes to Santana High School here in San Diego and has several friends that attend Granite Hills so I have alittle experiance dealing with the feelings of a school shooting and I think that this boy should never had been discussing this with anyone but the simple fact that he talked instead of acted screams out ,cry for attention!!! I think that tossing in the fact that the boy had " paintball guns and papers with violent images on them" in his home, come on??? Are we not allowed to have these things??? What a crock!!!!
