I'd appreciate any info/experience anyone here has with the CZ's .22LR Kadet pistol (not just the conversion kit). Specifically, how is it in terms of accuracy and reliability? Is it ammo sensitive/picky? Does it dis/assemble just the same as a standard CZ 75? Also, is the slide steel or alloy? Thanks.

I have the Kadet kit. It went, with minor fitting, on my old CZ-75 lower. Accuracy seems to be very good with anything I use. I like Federal Gold Medal match. Reliability is just as good as the basic CZ, which is very good indeed. It doesn’t seem to be the least finicky about different ammo, but I haven’t used too many different loads in it. It doesn’t disassemble like a normal CZ-75. The barrel and slide assembly come off like the barrel and slide of the CZ-75, but the disassembly from there is a little different, but it is very simple. It is all steel and the slide lock works after the last shot. Many of the other .22 conversions for things like the 1911 are aluminum and the slide lock doesn’t work automatically.

I believe the lower on the Kadet is exactly the same as the CZ75B. Therefore, my Kadet kit is practically the same as the whole package once I put it on my 75. It is very reliable with Remington and Federal bulk pack ammo. I had a couple light strike/light primers, but that happens with every 22 and the cheap ammo. Get one, they're great.

Had a Kadet pistol..very nice..fit was very good..accuracy was great..seemed reliable..I had no issues running CCI std velocity, minimag, remington and winchester bulk ammo.

cool thing about the Kadet pistol is that it does not use the firing pin block, so the sear is a pre B type sear..you can get a really nice trigger on this setup.

+1 with a great experience. I bought the adapter to put on my PCR compact. It fit without modifications, it's accurate (I'm not such a fan of adjustable sights but eh whatever), and it's reliable. As was mentioned, disassembly is the same as the CZ 75, however the barrel does not seem to detach from the slide (or at least I haven't tried to remove it). The Kadet is built very well, and I expect mine to last for a long time. I have yet to have any malfunctions, and use the kadet to instruct friends when I take them out shooting for the first time (using both cheap and quality ammunition).

Definitely recommend it!

Yeah

I've got one of the Kadet pistols (not just the kit). It's no different than the conversion because it is literally the conversion on a plain old 75B frame. I often take the upper off and use it on my other CZs.

-Very Accurate
-Reliable
-Durable
-Not picky about ammo
-Magazines are well made
-Made out of steel (rather than zinc and plastic)

All the reports that I have read & heard about it have been good! I can't find one around here.

I have the Kadet kit and it fits without modification on my CZ75b, CZ75bd and CZ75 P01. I have four magazines for mine, it is more accurate than I can shoot. It goes on every range trip. Cheap practice with same 9mm platform I carry... whats not to like?

best regards,

Luis Leon
