Tell me which of these scopes you'd choose if you were me..

Old thread but...

I have two Weavers and the glass quality is excellent for the money. The adjustments also seem to work. The only thing i can knock them for is the eye relief. The eye relief changes too much with different power settings (the only Leo I have is equally as bad so...). I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Weaver.

FWIW, I ended up making the Bushnell Elite 3200 2-7x32 previously on it work, and I'm happy with that, as it is a good choice for the rifle's multiple uses. I bought the Mueller 3-10x44 IGR, but then after replacing the Elite 3200 on the Saiga, I put the Mueller on an NEF Handi in .243 Win. I still think those Weavers are a good deal however, and will try one out in the future.

By the way, Jon and Tammi at www.theopticzone.com are outstanding to deal with. :) Jon, can you get me a Nikko Stirling Diamond Sportsman scope from Legacy Sports? If so, what would be your price on the NKS105060MD? Thanks.

Excellent choice. Although more expensive scopes are better, they are only marginally so. Spend the money you saved on ammo and shoot a lot.

should have spent your money on a good scope, the best bang for your buck on a scope, is a Zeiss Conquest....for $400, it will be your last scope, and will put your bottom dollar scopes to shame....

OK, class, since is this is the second time in this thread that this has been erroneously alleged, for the mathematically-challenged, follow along please:

THIS is a 'bottom-dollar' scope:

The ones I linked originally are not; they are some 7 to 10 TIMES the price of that one, and of very good quality. The conquest is great, but how on earth could it be the last scope I need, since I have many many rifles, and will have many many more? Wow, 2 snobs in one thread - must be snob season I guess.
