I was at the range last week and a fellow shooter had a Ruger. He had just spent 250.00 on a set of plastic grips with the lazer pointer. I helped him sight it in. My humble opinion what a waste of money. Turn it on, make sure you hand is on the grip to correctly to light the lazer then point it in and then pull the trigger. Whew I would hate to try to do that in an emergency. Just my take but wouldn't an Ashley big dot set up to hit point of aim at 15 or 10 yards with your chosen defense load work much better? Opinions

If the switch is positioned correctly then it should activate when you aquire your grip. It would then be no faster or slower than any other sighting system because without the correct grip you have to adjust for any sighting system.
Like any other system it will require practice to master it.
