Who made the HB molds ?
A little curious.
Would like that type and one for 500gr HB.

454, that's a lee mold, the 405 is the only one made with a hollow base. It is a replica of the 405 Springfield bullet, so the base would expand with the lower 55 grain powder charge for the calvary model carbines. The ammo was downloaded because the shorter lighter rifles kicked too hard for the calvary riders to use with 70 grains of black powder. An indian hit with it didn't know the difference though!:scrutiny::uhoh:

I'm curious about that 500 grainer with the 3R pointy tip. Only problem is, it would be painful to shoot at any decent velocity!:cool:
