Anyone have information on 3 gun matches in TX? Clubs or Ranges, etc. that put them on.

I'm centrally located around 3hrs +/- to every major city with exception of El Paso.

Ive never competed in any shooting event but this is peaking my interest.

I would really like to watch a few matches first. Even though the only thing I would probably need is an extension tube for my 870 or 1100 and some of those shell holders in order to compete.

If you were to guess what is the average age for competitors? Entry Fees?

Anything else?

Watch the matches on youtube, when you get there, you will regret not competing. Shooting is a boring spectator sport.
 
I've watched plenty of you tube vids. Hence the small itch I wish to scratch.

I've had fun at cowboy action without participating. Don't see how it would be too much different. We will see thou..
 
I'd have fun at a cowboy match too. Making fun of those weirdos would be hilarious :)!
 
There are regular monthly 3-gun matches just west of Austin @ Best of the West range.

Texas Tactical also hosts a IDPA style 3-gun a few times a year at Cedar Ridge just N of San Antonio.

I think there are also occasional matches near Copperas Cove?

The older I get the less I understand gun owners, new ones at least. Everyone is in some sort of "click" and the anti's use it against us. One of thoes "weirdos" just might someday make a choice as to the legality of semiauto firearms. Might as well make him your friend today, so he will be there when you need him.

Several options in the CENTEX area.

I've been shooting IDPA with Texas Tactical. Great bunch.

Know they do carbine matches, not sure about 3 gun.
