The Argyle Independent School District , just Northwest of Dallas is arming teachers and warning visitors that teachers are armed and will use whatever force is necessary.

"According to the avant garde program, which the local chief of police is overseeing, the armed staffers each have a license to carry a concealed handgun; have passed an interview, psychological exam and firearms and emergency response training course; and must also participate in an ongoing requalification process."

God, I wish I saw those signs in front of the school I work at instead of the stupid "criminal empowerment zone" gun free crap... I can carry my Glock in my state capitol but not my work... I can defend my kids at home but not the students that I teach... Good for them.. it's a start!
in Isreal they have 2 parents guarding each school... one in the front and one in the back with an M-4... for some reason they never have any school shootings...

It's an obvious solution to the problem. I don't get how the "other" people don't understand that announcing a school or other venue is a no gun zone attracts murderers.

Indeed!

A "Gun Free Zone" is a "Free Kill Zone" to those so inclined, in fact, it is a bit of a magnet to them.

I also fail to understand how even so-called "pro-gun" people fail to understand that arming teachers and staff at schools is a "good thing".

A recent discussion in Legal about arming teachers showed that even supposed supporters of the Second Amendment, don't understand that "Gun Free" zones don't work.:banghead:

Well with any great idea you gotta start somewhere. When others see it works without problems in some locations eventually they will become more eager to jump on the bandwagon where they are.
