Clinton did this. It did not help crime stats, but it certainly did increase the number of speeding tickets they gave out. It sounds like a government make-work boondoggle. More police = waste of money.

Clinton did 100,000 new cops in his COPS program. Just a way to pay back the UNIONS. Small towns got more cops than they wanted and people complained. Some counted cops were nothing but a computer. When the 3 year program was meant to terminate as usual the UNIONS and cities complained that the mean Republicians cut the program that was meant to be temporary to begin with. Same ole .gov spending and wasting as usual. More midnight basketball anyone??? Ceasefire my butt has not been shown to work. LIE LIE LIE.
 
We also have today's announcement that there's the 'gun owner' question on his application form, revealed by the NYT here.

"Applicants are asked whether they or anyone in their family owns a gun."

Things sure may be different in Cheyenne or Chicago but it's obvious he doesn't want our kind there.
 
I can only hope that people say

"Fix the economy first and then get us out of Iraq like your promised"

My gut is that Iraq and the Economy where just code words for Liberal Rule and Agenda.
 
wouldn't closing the gunshow "loophole" in its simplest form be restricting the right of free trade? The law would have to illegalize private sales altogether, and that is an infringement on a whole new level.

I'm quite certain 'they' know this. 'They' know there is no loophole. The target is all slaes not recorded on a 4473 and going through a dealer. The loophole thing is just clever wording.

They absolutely want to criminalize private sales that are not on paper.

Think about it. Gun control is about control. Difficult to control something if you can't track it easily.

It seems to me that there is a typo. "Fourth" is misspelled as "Tiahrt".
