Thank you ABC news for a stunning propaganda piece.

As I understand her, people are buying legal semi autos in other states, bringing them into California to easily convert them into full auto, and then taking them to Mexico which would be a peaceful paradise if not for us.

My vote goes to laugh first, then cry.

Hey ABC do ya think that the drug cartels might be rich enough to buy them outright? Maybe steel from the corrupt government? Ya, laugh, then cry.....what a crock!

Propaganda is a perfect description here because it not only follows a biased slant in opposition to the facts, it is followed up with a public instruction to stop the legal transactions in our country. The template and corollary of this story were written and set before they took any film or asked the first question. The ATF seemed delighted to participate in this piece.

Do I need a tax stamp for a full-auto "chamber". :banghead:

What a bunch of idiots&to think I come from the land of stupidity&gullibility.Try telling the truth for once,ABC slimeballs.Don Henley certainly summed up the media in his song 'Dirty Laundry'.These people haven't got anything better to do,other than lie,as theres no news like bad news. The Aussie government claimed that straight-pull rifles(Bolt-action assault-weapons:)could be converted abroad,by H&K&by Armalite.Since they were imported from the UK,then seized...how could they be?

Wow, that got my blood boiling a bit... definitely a propaganda piece... and the "big kick on those weapons" (AR-15) LOL Well, they are clearly against all guns so they don't have anything to compare the recoil to...

What a pair of idiots.

Anybody notice the Taser amongst the confiscated weapons? Big kick on that sucker too. I wonder if you can convert one of those with a fully automatic chamber...

Wow. I like how '...the violence won't stop until citizens stop buying those weapons and then giving them to cartels.' Amazing that the ATF is still spouting that crap after they've been called on it so many times.

Most of the guns on the seized gun table don't look all that menacing, and one is even a taser! Who knew they had a problem with those hardened drug cartels tasing people!

How about all the risk posed by the ability of people to bring items like laundry detergent, gasoline, and other common household items to California where they can be EASILY converted to Napalm and other explosives!? My God! We need to take action now.

I need to chill cause watching stuff like that just ticks me off. Folks who pretend to be knowledgeable throw enough big words and bad pictures in to invoke the human scared herd mentality to push through legislation trying to to take rights away.

I am curious, why is it those people who stand FOR a right (1A, 2A, etc) rarely stoop to fear mongering, half truths, and extremely exaggerated stats for their cause while those looking to take our rights away almost solidly rely on these tactics? Even more curious why are we as a species so stupid that we fall for these tactics?

she so well defines the line between 'reporting news' and being loose with the facts.
she voicing an opinion passed off as 'factual' but proves to be a ill informed moron--with a opininon culled from feelings rather than facts.

Propaganda from ABC? No way dude! :barf: You should have heard me yelling at the TV last night. And I used to love CSI too... :(

I think we got their attention. Now instead of ABC 10 News screening their comments they've disabled them completely.

They also mention they are already illegal in California because of assault weapon laws.
(Without going into legal off-list versions in California that comply with features.)
It would appear one of the aims of the story is to get California to pressure neighboring states to pass anti-gun measures.
Perhaps curb Arizona or Nevada freedoms or pressure the federal government to do so?
