Yes. Regardless what the news shows, a great full nation thanks you. A bumper sticker I seen many, many years ago that simply said " If you can read this thank a teacher... because you're reading this in English, thank a veteran" sums it up.

Hard to get some folks to understand this. Family still thanks me on Memorial Day and I always correct them.
