I know that a lot of you, like me, get sick and tired of our constant fight. Sometimes it can make you sick to your stomach, give you a headache, give you a heartache, and sometimes costs you money or time you really don't have. Heck in my case we'll just say my ulcers are alive and well.

I just wanted to publicly let everyone here know how much I appreciate all the support we give each other.

It's been said: "The watchman never sleeps." Well I'm just letting you all know that when this watchman needs a rest, there are thousands more on watch while I take a break. And for this I am very grateful.

Thanks for giving me support in the struggles we are having in NJ trying to change the laws and get CCW here. How did you do this?
I think at one point you could tell by one of my posts that I was going to blow a gasket and you personally emailed me and told me that what I was dealing with was normal even in your neck of the woods. You saved me from burning out.

Thank you for allowing me to lean on you during that time my brother.
That single email gave me the support I needed to carry on the fight.

Apropos of the date, think of how the fighters 60 years ago must have felt: weary of the fighting behind and the fighting certain to come; apprehensive or downright scared of the outcome both personally and collectively; determined to fight for principles they believed in.

Not too unlike our current situation regarding RKBA, eh?

I credit the resources available at THR with being a major contributor to the defeat of the Maryland State AWB legislation that was proposed this year. We killed it in the House and in the Senate.

MANY people here at THR showed up to testify against the proposed AWB and to testify at other gun related hearings.

I checked THR hourly for updates at night and during weekends, and I had Norton posting updates throughout the hearings as I attended them.(ain't the technology age beautiful?)

There were so many THR members at the hearings I can't even remember them all - Chaim, Norton, Girlwithagun (and her two young children),
K-Romulus, Cliff, Jeepdriver, MikeK......sorry to the ones I'm forgetting or didn't get to meet. Harry Tuttle always has good inside scoops and posts them here frequently.

And we couldn't have done it without THR. I know that I haven't been that long, but the little time that I have spent on this website has taught me so much and showed me what I'm really fighting for.
