Mike challenged us in the last days of TFL to resolve to do something to commemorate what TFL meant to each of us.

And so, taking advantage of the installment plan, I am becoming an NRA life member. Already made two payments. :D

Go to  Sarah Brady. :neener:

Good man, Ledbetter. You'll never regret it.

To be honest, though, I was only picking up on and reinforcing the challenge that Rich first made. The credit rightfully belongs to him.

I need to get in touch with membership to see if I can make installment payments toward becoming an Endowment member or if they want it all in one lump.

Chegriz:

"I wish we had 100 more of Mike Irwin..."

Letterman's Top 10 tonight was "How to know when your neighbor is cloning...

The top one was "You look out the window and see yourself washing his car..." :D

Blackhawk,

Actually, I've argued with Mike several times.

But Mike's arguments are always well thought out, cogent and logical.

I respect him even when he's wrong! (LOL)

It's not until you argue with Mike over something that you realize what a "class act" HE is.

Oh, and thanks to the "new" guy for the recognition.

cheygriz, PATH, Ledbetter,

I agree. I LIKE arguing with Mike, but they're not just arguments, they're discussions, and quite informative.

Ledbetter,

Since I became a life member 6 or 7 years ago, I have received less mail from NRA soliciting $$$$$$$$$$$$.I did the installment plan when it was $500. Still worth it at $750. Good for you. Plus you get to wear all the Life Member stuff!:)

Good work Mike and congratulations Mike (I'll let you two Mikes figure out who I'm addressing).

When I converted from annual to Life, they allowed me 2 years of annual memberships to be applied to the balance. The rest was due quarterly (no interest) until paid off. If you are more persistent, they may allow you more annual dues to be applied. I think the membership people have some discretion in how they can handle it.
