The SIG P320-XTEN.
Oh there have been others that have come close, but the XTEN finally checks all my boxes without need of aftermarket upgrades.

What I've wanted out of the box:
Made in USA
Large capacity (15+1 rounds)
Excellent (night) sights
Excellent trigger
Excellent grip which points well
[edit] Under $1,000

Shortcomings:
Magazine dimensions are tight for heavy WFN rounds, but COAL adjustment has addressed this.
Reliability; the XTEN is just too new to claim success in this area just yet.

Up to now, my Croatian-made SA XDM-10 5.25 had come the closest to checking all the boxes, but gosh darn it, I dislike all those onboard nanny devices. The Gluck G20/G40 was the next closest, but I've never appreciated their triggers, or sights, or how they point. Note that I have not shot the newish M&P...but I have found a perfect S&W 10mm...the 10mm revolver I've always been waiting for, the M610.

Anyways, 124 rounds at the range went well. Hardcast FP, WFN, XTPs, Golden Sabers and TMJs. I did later discover in one of my pics one failure to return to battery, but this was a minor, unnoticed event. So far, I'm very pleased with the XTEN.

I’m have been looking for a 10mm lately . The Sig 320 does look promising . The M&P also looks interesting , but I have read about a few bugs in the early guns , mainly the 4” model though . I don’t like the Glock barrel . I could fix that with a aftermarket barrel , but at a extra cost and the sights are not very good , another additional cost . The XDm I don’t like the grip safety or the high bore axis . Congratulations on your new Sig 10mm , it looks nice .

Man, I’d LOVE a good 10 mm full size pistol. Maybe with a 6” barrel.

Then again, what would I use it for?

I start to justify it: “It would be a SMASHING self defense gun AND I could hunt with it.”

But I don’t handgun hunt and I wouldn’t carry a full size gun either. I live in the suburbs.

Then, ammo is so expensive and I can’t get primers to reload.

I’m making a commitment to you guys now: when/if primers and powder are readily available at the same time, I’m buying a 10 mm full size pistol. (AND a set of dies)

I have a couple 10mm’s and love them, but I’m being optimistic in waiting for a g48 sized single stack or a lightweight officer in 10 to come out.

The Sig is heavier and looks bigger than a Glock 20, which means its really too big to carry much.

I still wouldn't mind owning one. I think it would be great at the range, but not much else I would want to do with it.

If I had the extra cash, the only reason that I wouldn't buy a Sig P320 X-Ten right now is the lack of a manual trigger safety. But I'm sure that before too long Sig will have a manual trigger safety version. But as I nearly always carry concealed and my P365X is about as large as I could conceal, about the only time I would have a need for the X-Ten would be to open carry while camping in moose and bear country, or during civil unrest, like the Burn, Loot, and Murder riots here in Minneapolis, home of the mostly peaceful protest.

I prefer a striker fired pistol with a one piece trigger hinged at the top, as that design is the least susceptible to contamination issues. 15+1 round capacity is good. The X-Ten fits more of my requirements than most other 10mm pistols. One modification that I would perform immediately would be to sand a gentle radius on the bottom edges of the magazine floorplate.
