I am a huge fan of this caliber and would like to chat with fellow fans of the 416 Rigby.
I had owned one in the Ruger #1 at one time but didn't care for single shot, so sold it and decided that I would replace it one day with a bigger gun like the 460 weatherby. After many ballistic comparisons at varied ranges, I was suprised to find the 416 rigby in a 325gr Barnes had amazing ballistics/energy that was out doing the bigger bores at ranges past 250/300yds for energy and of course trajectory. So I ran out and bought the Rigby in a CZ 550 and a set of dies. I am sad to say that Barnes does not make the 325's anymore so Iam having fun with the 300gr which will shoot faster, but dosn't carry as much energy at range. I am looking at Lost River Ballistics bullets, If anyone has an opinion about these bullets, please post. I havn't been reading alot of good things on these guys.
I would like to chat with anyone who enjoys this caliber as much as myself and maybe turn me on to some good loads.

The .416 Rigby is one of those cartridges that, because of its great qualities, has staying power over generations, like the 9.3mm Mauser, the .375 H&H and the .30-06 Springfield. Go here http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/postlist.php/Cat/0/Board/bigbores for all the discussion of it you want with folks who appreciate the big bores.
