During October and November, Michael Bane, Mike Janich and I worked on the first season of the newest defense oriented TV show. We really think that everyone will appreciate our approach to typical defensive issues and situations. The presentation and production of the show is really unique and we think the information is the most practical collection of personal and home defense ever presented in this format.

The show will premiere tomorrow (4pm, 7:30 and 11pm) on Outdoor Channel.

Complete episode guide, background info, trailer and additional information (including the Blog and Discussion Forum) can be found here:

I hope to discuss the show with the viewers at THR afterwards.

I found this in the listings when I was setting the other "gun" shows up for recording. Looking forward to seeing it.

THanks,

I'd watch, but I don't get the Outdoor Channel. Somehow it's not included in my $160/month cable & internet package.... go figure.

I don't have cable..... *sigh*....

The only thing I wish I had it for is the Outdoor Channel and a couple of other educational channels... *double sigh*

Can you send me a DVD of it?

Most T.V. is pure junk anyways.... guess I'll go do something outdoors instead... :)

I hope it is accurate and it does well for you and everyone. My experience shows that the more people are accurately educated about this issue the better off my rights are.

I just watched the first issue of the show and I think it is a well put together show. Lot's of information that will be helpful to all levels of shooters. I've taken many defensive training classes over the years and I still got some new ideas. The tip about preparing a written speech of what to say to 911 in an emergency was a very good idea and I'm doing that today. In a moment of crisis, you don't want foul up and this is a step in preventing that.

Good luck with the show and I hope to be watching it for a long time.

Louie,
Other than after the season ends and starts the complete re-run schedule in April, I'm not sure if/when it will be on again.

Thanks for tuning in 98! We appreciate the feedback, glad you liked it!

I just programmed my DVR to record all future episodes. From the website, the show looks very interesting.

I would love to see the Outdoor Channel re-run the first episode between now and next Wednesday - since I missed it.

I enjoyed the show and learned several pointers. I don't have a firearm on me all the time and will now place my walking sticks to a place that I can readily reach them. Also the safe room ideas are valuable.

Many Thanks

Rob, I got it scheduled on the DVR now. :)

Please let Outdoor Channel know that we who were too busy with New Years Eve prep would like to see the 1st episode re-run... and when that happens, please post here to let us know.

Also, having it (the whole series) available on DVD would be great too in the future.

I think the show is excellent.
It is very informative.
I bought the first two seasons of Personal Defense TV which is an excellent program.
Best Defense TV gave viewers some excellent tips.

Thanks for all of the feedback, guys...

As for re-runs, nothing is scheduled until the whole season repeats starting April 1st.

Unfortunately, OC has said that they do not intend to release a DVD Set of the season at this time.... but we are pushing for it!

I look forward to more thoughts as the season goes on!

Excellent show, I have been watching it all season and just watched a repeat today, the episode where they test different calibers, 9mm, 45, 223 and 12ga shotgun. Very informative, I changed the loading sequence in my Winchester Defender based on that episode. So keep up the Great Work!

Also I didn't realize you were a member of THR, so that makes the show even better! Great Information.

Good show with a slant that makes it useful for a broad range of viewers.

I had my daughter watch the episode about attempted "date rape". We assessed the layout of her apartment in light of that information. She asked me to record it so her female friends can be made aware of those lessons.

Also the show on car jacking vindicated me. Used to get teased about keeping distance from cars in front of me at stops. That show let my family see why I do that.

Keep up the good work.
