Watching that brings me to the point where I'm having trouble even typing how I feel about how brave our country can be, and how proud I am to live here.
If this were to be aired on even ONE major TV channel even ONCE, we wouldn't be hearing from people who say our soldiers are mindless killers.
I have a warm fuzzy feeling, coupled with needing to pray, give thanks to our soldiers, and cry....
...too late on that last one, though. God bless our country for such bravery and selflessness..

All I can say is Thank You. The music, the pictures, the people that were represented in the pictures - amazing combination of emotions and truth.
The part that really got me was the picture of the soldier cradling his daughter - probably saying goodbye before leaving. She looked to be about my daughters age and that really hit home.
May God Bless them and keep them safe. May His face shine upon them while in harm's way and may they quickly be returned home to their families once their VOLUNTEER work is through. It is so easy to just think of these men and women being SENT overseas for months - but these people are cut from a different bolt of cloth than MOST people. These people volunteered for this life and I thank them dearly for their committment to their country and to it's citizens.

By the way,the music is from the soundtrack to the movie "Glory". A 1989 movie about the Fifty-fourth Massachusetts Volunteer Regiment led by colonel Robert Shaw during the civil war. The soundtrack itself is very moving and powerfull.
