The Best Revolver I ever owned!

My two best shooting revolvers are my 1951 S&W K22 Masterpiece (6" 22lr) and my 1970 Ruger Super Blackhawk (7.5" 44magnum). Their triggers are exquisite.

Nice, love 'em! I have a 4" 686-3 that hasn't been shot. Bought back in '92 and have often pondered about selling it. When I read of others who miss/regret letting them go I put the thought out of mind. It comes out for some dry fire then back to sleep. :( The 6" 586 and 686. I had a friend bead blast my 686+ 4". Then he went through and smoothed the action parts. Man it is one smooth revolver

I love all of my revolvers. I'd say my most favorite is my 500 S&W and my 629 44 Magnum Hunter...and my Ruger Alaskan, and my 627 8 shot 5" 357, and my 44 Magnum 3" 629 Deluxe, and my Kimber K6S, and my 7.5 Ruger SRH 454 Casull, and my 460 XVR.

I love my 686-6, but as far as "favorite revolver" there's a Raging Bull 454 and Taurus 66 in the list above it.

The best revolver I've ever owned? A USFA 4-5/8" SAA in .45 Colt. Sadly parted with it many years ago during financial troubles. The best I currently own? Probably my newest- a Colt Detective Special in .32 S&W Long. Awesome gun! Best is different than favorite in my case- my favorite is probably this one-

S&W 686 4" with factory Goncalo Alves target grips.
Lots of love for the S&W 686 in this thread. I also have a 6" 686, which I bought in the early 1980's, but while the OP mentioned "factory Goncalo Alves target grips", much like my gun, notice none of these guns pictured seem to still sport the factory grips.

My Gancalo Alves grips got lost many years ago during one of my many moves. I still have some Pachmayr Presentation grips and rubber Hogue MonoGrips for the gun.

The closest I come to a 686 is a 7-shot 386 Night Guard. I carry it around the property as part of my rotation. The rest of my .357's are N and K frames plus a Colt.

Otherwise, my favorite woods guns are a Ruger 4.2" GP100 Match Champion (Spring / Summer) and a 4.2" S&W L-Frame Model 69 (Fall / Winter).

Mine came with them but my smallish hands could not hold them very well. I had attempted to sand them down and that was a so-so job, those went circular file. Have the other originals somewhere here. Along the way had picked up some smooth Hogue pau ferro grips, they look great though to my preferences the rubber Monogrip is well suited.
