I went to a SAXET gun show yesterday. The prices were still a bit high, but I found (and bought):
-A Norinco SKS in an ATI Monte Carlo stock for $ 190,
-A quality AR stripped lower for $65, and
-Replacement stocks and handguard for the SKS for $45.

The rest of the parts for an M-Forgery cost less than $400, including a trigger upgrade and shipping.

I'd say that the panic is finally over.

yep

local facebook gun sale groups are covered up with black guns for sale. One AR15 was $500.

I picked up a new stripped lower receiver the other day for $65 out the door.

bulk 55gr .223 can be had for $280 shipped if you keep your eyes open.

An Armslist S&W M&P15 is currently listed at $499, NIB. I paid nearly $600 several months before the 'panic'.

We knew it would be over once people stopped paying panic prices. The supply caught up with and in some cases exceeded the demand. That is how the market works. I was fortunate with hand loading components in that I was well stocked and didn't have to buy anything at panic prices. Some components are still high priced such as powder and may never revert to pre-panic prices but we are going to be OK until the next Sandy Hook.:banghead:

Yep, my LGS have shelves of them for normal prices. I feel bad for the people that paid thousands on an AR that retails for 800.

Its only .22 LR ammo shortage that still lingers after two years post Sandy Hook. Even online dealers are still selling double the price of bulk .22. But thanks to local sports stores like Academy , you can still buy them for $25 (500 rd brick) if you are lucky.

I bought two Bushmaster stripped lowers from Brownells for $49.99 each a couple of weeks ago, and an "primary build kit" - Bushmaster stripped upper, BCG, DPMS upper small parts, DPMS charging handle for $129.99 a week or so before that. So, I agree, scare pricing is over.

When you've got BCM throwing in free BCG's and comps on any 16" upper I'd say the panic is over.

Yeah... I'm not quite financially able to do it yet, but I'm hoping to snag a BCM upper within the next month or so.
