The Colt® LE6940 Advanced Law Enforcement Carbine Models.

I checked the manufacturer's website & can't seem to find the LE6940PD model.
Any information in regarding this would be appreciated & I do plan to invest in the LE6920 or LE6940, but if the PD model is the most latest, i'd like to know more about it and the difference.

Looks like a moot point, since neither the Colt Firearms or Colt Defense sites list the "PD" version anymore, just the "P" version.

Probably just the furniture it wears. Buy the cheapest one, shoot it, then make mods that fit your own taste.

I voted for the LE6920 because it's a standard upper and gives you choice on handguards/rails. The monolithic upper has advantages but I'd rather have flexibility.

Judging by the "LAPD Individual Officer Approved" on that advertisement, my guess is that it's a specific model marketed towards the LAPD. The only difference form the normal 6940 I can see is that it comes with a Magpul ACS stock, MOE grip, and what looks like a Troy backup sight.

I myself have a 6940 that I wouldn't get rid off, but the monolithic 7" rail isn't going to be for everyone, especially with the popularly of longer forearms and outstretched arm shooting styles today.
