The Gun Show.... Sham-WOW!!!!

Well, not all the other stuff sold at gun shows is junk. We picked up some UV LED flashlights a while back, good for identifying certain things and finding scorpions (they glow green under UV light). It's a major improvement over having to carry a portable UV fluorescent lamp around. The fluorescents suck tons of battery life and aren't very bright to begin with because they're not focused in any way.

HEY!! i like vince on those sham-wow ads... i aspecially like the part when he says" we can't do this all day" and they've been running the thing over a year here....... but i do get a kick out of vince! btw has anyone bought and tried a sham-wow?? i keep trying to find a good reason to get one for my reloading bench.... it might be good as a gun cleaning pad to soak up solvent!

LIFE IS SHORT.....

Dude, at California, all you get at Gunshows are SHAM-WOW and jerky stands. We're out of stuff to sell pretty much. Sometimes we get a good deal on anti-fog soap for glasses and maybe a hot tub guy will offer a steal (today only because he likes you).

Now that Sham Wow is being sold at Big 5 Sporting Goods, I have even less of a reason to go to a CA gunshow.

Just in case someone doesn't know, the name comes from the French "Chamois" which is a kind of fine polishing cloth.

Actually the name originates with the Chamois, a goat-like animal that is native to Europe & western Asia, whose hide is used for buffing/polishing cloths. The Sham-Wow, & other similar products, are a synthetic version of the original Chamois leather cloths.

the sham wow people and the arts & crafts people have no business setting up at gunshows. many of the gunshows have waiting lists to get a table & getting rid of these would open up a few more tables for people who are actually selling guns & gun related stuff. at the gunshows in pasadena texas they are actually required to set aside several tables for the arts & crafts people. i think we should start setting up our tables at their arts & crafts shows & see how they like it

And it's absurd how bad internet posters are with grammar, spelling and proper word use.

I believe that should be "use of words"...:neener:

As I'm typing this, Billy Mays is doing an ESPN 360.com ad on TV....

maybe he is the Antichrist..

i went to a small gun show near pittsburgh pa yesterday and the sham well guy was there. i passed him by. a vender was selling cz 82 pistols for 175.00 he used to sell them for 239.00 he had 5 left good price but i am not interested. hope i dont kick my self latter for not buying one. by the way billy mays is from pittsburgh pa

I thought the Orlando gun show was great. Yes, there were some high prices, but then on the other hand, there was an abundance of guns and ammunition for sale I was asking myself "WHAT AR15 shortage are they talking about"?
Two huge buildings, jam packed with folks buying guns. Beautiful sight :D

I sold two Russian SKS rifles and covered the cost of a new Spike's Tactical 16 inch flat top upper for my old Colt HBAR, given me a more useful rifle at no cost to me.

Ok, they sell crappy non-gun stuff at gun shows - everywhere.
