I had a similar setup in a finished closet bleow a staircase. It actually worked quite nicely.

Nice and clean setup Mike. I also stand while loading ammo and would suggest a floor mat. I bought one at Costco a few months back and it really makes a difference on my lower back. Just thought I'd mention it, we are about the same in age.

I really like your setup! Seems quite cozy and as others said its a great use of the space...now you just need to practice your create gunpowder from sand spell :D

That is a very clever setup - had to pause the video and show the wife. My bench is actually a converted TV stand, so I know about making do. :) I also wouldn't mind a peek at the photography studio...

Quote: Very cool. Thanks for the vid. I'm trying to work up something similar in a closet.

I have done just that. I used a base cabinet I purchased at Home Depot for $20 (it was scratched). The drawers provide storage, and I attached a $12 2-shelf unit to the top. I use a board placed on top of an open drawer to provide more space when I am charging cases or seating bullets. The press is hard mounted, but I have 2 T-Nuts on the left side of the 2X6 bench top, and all auxiliary tools (trimmer, powder measures, etc.) are mounted to boards with holes to match the spacing between the T-nuts. These can be bolted down or removed quickly. It's not quite as convenient as a large bench, but it fits in the available space of a small, walk-in closet. I do have pictures. If anyone really wants to see it for reference, PM me and I will email you a photo.

Now better than ever!

I'm glad everyone liked the video. It is one of the first I made.

As I said in the video, I thought there was too much flex in the bench, so this weekend I over-decked the bench top with two additional layers of 3/4" plywood.

It is now as solid as a rock.
