Just so you know, none of the original lever actions had 'large loop' levers. It was thought up by Hollywood for movies in the 40's.

Perhaps, but I had a Rossi with a large loop, and I found it was faster. The technique I used was different than using the standard loop. I found that I could just slam my lever hand forward against the large loop, and pull it straight back, as opposed to the slight wrist twist with the standard loop...I found I preferred it.

.... in I would do what Chuck did and find a good blacksmith and have one made/modified to your specs. It would be pretty cool having a "custom" rifle .... lock and load!

Puma makes one now. Contact them, first.

WRT having one made, you might find that to be cheaper. The aftermarket ones I've seen have been something like $150. I'm wondering if you couldn't drop off your factory lever at a machine shop with a drawing, then have it re-blued, for $150.

I know a guy , here in texas, selling a pristine one, I saw at a gunshow, but he does not own a computer, so no pics. But it was almost as fabulous as the new in the box 5mag he was selling.
His name is Jimmy Bemefield, call him at 1.936.465.8221, he or his wife will
answer.
