Don't know if this is the right place for this, but I see that the media (CNN, MSNBC) is keeping up pressure for gun control legislation. They say the NRA has "bought and sold Congress". They ridicule the fact that the NRA will be at the meetings with Biden, to see what is discussed.

They ridicule the "gun appreciation day" that is scheduled for 19 Jan, and any other pro 2A work that is being done. They even got General Stanley McCrystal to say that "assault weapons" are DEVASTATING when they hit the human body, and belong only in the hands of soldiers (he said it on MSNBC, it was very embarrasing to see). They are scraping up everything they can. It's organized, and designed to keep it in the public eye, while framing the "discussion" on THEIR terms. We can't let them.

It's only heating up. Keep calling, and keep giving what you can.

Since the fiscal cliff standoff has been momentarily postponed, I have noticed an increase in the antigun propaganda over the past several days by the mainstream media, which will no doubt reach a fever pitch as Biden's "Commission" releases its recommendations sometime this month.

Yeah, I just gave some more to NRA-ILA. Boy, even getting a military General in with them. Wow.

Of course they are. They were handed this terrible gift of a falsely driven anti-gun outcry as yet another distraction from the horrendous national and international policies coming out of Washington.

Rome is burning and we're all bickering over magazine capacities. Go figure.

The media in this country has been over stepping their bounds for years now. They are under some fantasy that they set the agendas. Cronkite is rolling over in his grave. Although he would be right in the middle of it if he were alive today.

You're preaching to the choir here, guys. Feedback and education is important. I have time to do this stuff more often than most because I only have a part-time job. For those of you who don't have the time then spend the money. But if you have more time than money, then spend your time. If you're on this board at this time of day, you have time. If you make well-reasoned arguments, some people are receptive and WILL see and listen. It is also possible to shut some of these people down and make them look like the bullies they are. I've had success in numerous situations.

Hit CNNs, ABCs, and MSNBCs facebook pages. Add them to your newsfeed and comment respectfully without insulting the other sides intelligence.

If you don't have facebook, comment on the comments sections of gun-related articles posted on their websites.

Also keep contacting your lawmakers. If you have already, do it again. In Illinois lawmakers were halted by the calls of their constituents. In Illinois of all places! This shows me that our activism can make a difference.

I already sent emails to congress and donated to NRA-ILA, but as soon as we know there is a bill actively being discussed, I will copy one of HSO's blurbs and send out another round of emails.
