Hrmm, a very interesting concept. I like the fact that the designer seems to be well educated in the proven theories of handgun wounding factors and effectiveness.

Looks awesome, I went to his site and I am guessing to get this caliber or any of his ammunition in 9mm or 45ACP would be kinda hard in this country unless you are somebody. His waiting list states he wont develop the glock version unless he has at least 100 pre orders and so far its like at 13. Thats a long time to wait on a waiting list before even the production begins, laws here wont get better over time. Great innovative stuff though, I doubt it will catch on only to those who can afford it by throwing lumps of money to own the ammo or gun.

Not bad, but still think I would rather have a 9X25 Dillon or 9X23 Winchester. Mostly because of a large selection of bullet types and weights.

The better question would be, what will it do that a 38 super, 9x23, 9x25 won't do?

I'm in the 7.62x25 camp too. I would love to see a modern autolader for that round,

so what does this do that the 7.26x25 Tokarev couldn't do?

Fit into current production magazines and slide travel; as the Tok will not.

I got tired of looking through the site. I see pictures of gelatin but no chronograph numbers.
.32 H&R Auto?
.327 Ruger Auto?

And what about the other rounds like the 38 super or the 9x23? heck they don't have to fit in current production magazine they actually ARE produced. That does this new round offer over them?

Yes, but it sacrifices the superiour feeding properties of a bottlenecked cartridge..
I've never had a problem feeding straight walled cartridges in pistols that work. Not being a smart-alec, but I'm just saying that if a straight walled cartridge will feed, then this is a minor thing to give up in exchange for increased mag capacity IMO.

Still opinion-less on this cartridge though....

so it's basically a .32 ACP bullet, in a longer case, and going wicked fast?

It sounds pretty cool actually. I'd say the advantage it has over the 7.62x25, is that it can fit in existing guns. The overall length of the tokarev round makes it too long to work in guns that aren't specifically designed for it. I remember looking it up when people were talking about a trying to convert a 1911.

another advantage is that you don't have to try to find .308 diameter pistol bullets if you reload.

"WHY?" An answer:

This round in .45 ACP is devastatingly penetrating, yet not over-penetrative. Always incapacitates yet stays in two definite wound-channels without leaving the body. Projectile(s) present the same cross-section up the ramp as the familiar ogive of the hardball we know and depend upon, while feeding faster and more reliably due to reduced overall mass. (I'm talking of the 2-part fused projo.) He won't sell me assembled bullets, but does offer saboted Tu rounds in 9x19 and .45ACP. When I get them loaded we'll have some idea of their load-to-speed figures. I'm interested in the Tu and DU-wire projos against armor. Hard-plate is supposed to melt under these loads and spray the melt over 12 inches beyond the plate. He is in France for the holiday, but will make contact when he returns. Meanwhile, the site is

I give up. Everyone reads the last post and no one reads the thread. The two part projectile is a gimmick that has been done before and the round itself doesn't appear to show any advantage over anything else thats already on the market. My interest peaked at no interest at all. I'll let you guys ooo and ahhh.

A less powerful version of the .30 carbine, which proved to have less than optimal effectiveness some 70 years ago.

Once again, we have a cartridge much like the 5.7x28 in that aside from defeating hard barriers and putting lots of tiny bullets on target is a hurry has little merit. Take the AP and full auto capability away, and it has little appeal on the civilian market.

This sounds like an EXTREME SHOCK add for mall ninjas. DEVASTATINGLY PENETRATIVE!!! What the heck is that? I supposed it always penetrates to the perfect depth no matter the angle or barriers. Its a smart round right?

ALWAYS INCAPACITATES! Please.

STOP, your killing me!! Wow.

so what does this do that the 7.26x25 Tokarev couldn't do?

Fit the magazine of guns still in production would be my guess. Ot perhaps give one another excuse for reloading :)

WOW!

I'm really impressed, not. Why all the fuss over this thing? I would bet that a 10mm will do everything this thing supposes to do. Want AP? chuck a piece of copper bus bar in a lathe or mill and turn it to .400 and put a point on it, turn a few grooves in the shank so it has less drag going down the barrel and voila! you just created a superior 10mm AP pistol round. So what? When do you plan to buy a tag to hunt armored deer? In the real world, other than mall ninjas, most of us will never fire a shot in anger or defense and those of us who do, will most likely not face armored opponents. I just don't get it.:banghead:

Its funny you read that question but not the three times that very same answer has been given. Besides, the answer is that 7.62x25 doesn't melt steel plate and incapacitate instantly 100% of the time like this round does. Duh.
