I got her about mid-September of last year after Hurricane Irene made her way through my neck of the woods.
She was all original except for the SA Inc. first generation scope mount. She even had the OEM cleaning kit still in the stocks butt trap.
Heres a before picture in the stock I have in for good.
I sent her off to Warbird after the first of the year to be re-built into a bush length rifle.
The only parts I kept for the update were the receiver, op-rod, and trigger housing. The rest, Fulton 18.5 in non-chrome barrel, SEI DC Vortec and gas lock front sight, VLTOR mod-stock, Knights Armament M14 RAS and a TRW bolt were bought to make her look like this.
Heres how she came back to me this week.
Thursday afternoon I stripped her down and got her properly lubricated. This afternoon I went to the range to test her function and to see where I was at the 25 yard line. She cycles, feed and functions flawlessly. Only thing that'll take some getting used to is the recoil impulse with the VLTOR stock.
Heres what she looks like at the 25, tomorrow we'll be at the hundred for zeroing.
