Here's how I spent my Christmas vacation, or part of it -- building a 10/22 ultimate. It's called the OgRifle because my wife and I are Team Og Rof a Klaw on www.geocaching.com. (sdrawkcab it lleps.)
Final configuration was:
Before:
After:
Results:
Seems to like CCI Minimag. Tried Lapua Midas M but got poor groups and occasional vertical stringing. Bought some Federal and CCI target ammo to see if it will do better or whether it's just got a taste for the cheap stuff.
Now it's time to learn howta shoot!
Cheers,
