The older I get…….

I like steel and wood and have plenty of them but plastic has it's place and runs well to. I carried a Glock 30 stuffed with 11 rounds for years and then moved on to a steel commander stuffed with 9 rounds for years. I don't care what kind of holster you have you know they are there. One day I bought a 365XL to see what the fuss was about. That's what I carry now and can do so all day and hardly know she's there. I'm still buying revolvers but plastic has it's place in my world of firearms just like wood and steel. Now if we're gonna discuss hunting rigs that's another discussion for another time...

Guess I am keeping up with the times. The older I get the more plastic Ive purchased.

Yep.

These days, I see steel handguns only as heirlooms and range toys. They are fun to shoot and the best ones will surely be more valuable in time. But for practical defensive purposes, no way am I going to carry a heavy metal handgun. More power to those who do, but I’ll pass.

And as far as range time, 90% of my shooting is serious practice since my range time is limited by distance and other restraints. For this time, I shoot what I carry or defend the home with. But I do try to shoot my few steel guns when time permits.

I liken it to the guy who has a restored late 60’s Mustang or Camero. It ain’t the daily driver, it’s the fun Sunday drive ride.
