The one you kicked yourself over

There have been many from gunshows that I was hesitant to buy due to price as it was something a bit outside my expertise. Three guns stand out as guns I should have purchased: As-new 4" Colt Diamondback 38spl in box for $500 when they were selling in the $700-$850 range; NIB 6" Nickel C Engraved Diamondback in 22 for $1000 (years ago), and at least one of the case hardened 22 Diamonbacks from Cherry's.

My dad offered me his Taurus 1911 for only $200 due to him wanting to get a Springfield Armory 1911. I didnt buy it because he put to many rules on it. (i couldnt take it to college with me, i had to leave it at home in the safe) i figured it wasnt really owning a gun if i couldnt shoot it without askin him first. Wish i wouldve bought it now and just taken it with me anyways.

I had money down on a like new S&W 4506. When the SIG SP2022 went on sale I cancelled the .45 & bought the SIG for the wife. Turned out I could've handled both, $$$-wise but I didn't know that at the time.

Recently passed on an early unconverted 3 screw Ruger Blackhawk .44 Magnum in probly 95-98% condition at $475. I R STOOOPID!:fire:

About two years ago: nickel, 2.5" Python, original service grips, $550. Nickel was flaking off in a couple of places so I let it walk.

I had to pass on a Colt King Cobra 4 inch stainless in a consignment case.

Should have offered to put half down on it or something, gun wasn't there 3 days later when I had the full amount.

I stopped kicking myself over this.
After 15 years of my butt being black and blue i found drowning my regrets to be more palatable.

I can remember back in 91 or 92 seeing a Coonan 357 auto pistol at a store I use to buy my ammo from. The guy was selling it for $700 used of course. Oh I wanted it. But having a little child and a wife not working at the time I passed on it. Rent and food first. But I still wonder " what if ". One day.

A reworked Colt 1917 .45ACP that had been cut to 4" and fitted with Micro adjustable sights. Also had some very nice aged stag grips and the lanyard ring was still in place. Sported a decent looking bright reblue. All in all, a great utilitarian sixgun for $250.

Plus a pair of Great Western SAA replicas for $300 apiece.

Not buying the .45 Colt, .360 Dan Wesson and the .460 Rowland revolvers when they were available....but especially not buying a couple dozen .445 SuperMags when they were available for $350 when they first came out. They are selling for five times that now if not more.

Couple of months ago came across a STI Off Duty, my gun guy saw me staring at it for a few minutes and offered to give me a great deal on it(we are talking a few hundred off the MSRP on it. But I had just used up my gun fund buying a SP101, a Nagant 91/30(ordered aftermarket stock for it at the same time as well) and bought about $500 worth of various ammo calibers for all of my guns. Wish I had borrowed the money from a friend or taken the money from somewhere else since when I will be in the market for another 1911 I doubt I will find that kinda deal again.

about a year ago, I sold a S&W M-63 22LR because i wanted a Ruger MKII Target pistol...i kick myself all the time now that i see what they are going for now

There was a 327 PD I almost had, and reluctantly decided not to. Now the gun is discontinued and I have never seen one for sale.
