Once again he checked his rifle, round chambered, ready in all respects. He knew the pack was nearby,if he could take out the Alpha Male the pack might disperse and end the reign of terror on the local people.
The concealment he was in was good, but he realized that any mistakes could bring about a mass attack from the pack. Sweeping the terrain he spotted the pack,and easily picked out the Alpha Male, knawing away at his latest prey, vicious teeth tearing away.
Raising the rifle to position for the shot, he was distracted by a slight rustleing noise to his right in the foliage. Easing around slowly and carefully, he scanned the area and spotted one of the local children carefully approaching his location.
He lowered his rifle carefully as the child approached, and in complete awe listened as the child delivered the message he was instructed to deliver " Dad, Mom said leave the damn chipmunks alone and fix the sink like she asked you to!"
