I built a working "cannon" in Metal shop (in .22 LR) complete with locking swing breech and a tube on top to make it look like a French 75mm, but the tube actually held the spring for the "hammer".
The teacher gave me a B, but confiscated the project.
In drafting, I designed SMG's and Trap guns, combining successful design elements of several models. Ironically, a guy named Holmes built one very, very similar to one of my designs, the Holmes SuperTrap. It resembled the Ljutic Space Gun quite a bit, as did mine.
