This manpurse must have has skunkabilly's input.

No its more like a purse. It hangs just behind you right hip at about 4'oclock. I would almost get one if that wasn't where I carried my gun. I wish they had a left side option.

So does it go around your waist and hang off yopur hip or off your shoulder dow to the hip?

I assume it goes around your waist. Then its more of a fanny pack only much cooler.

European Carryall = Man purse. :barf:

I think I'd rather carry a real purse than something that might be considered "European". Someone might think I'm French. :fire:

Purses get stolen, are made for women, fanny packs are little better.

Get a quality leather holster, a billfold or even better, a money clip. ANd leave the European carryall/Man purse to the Firearm Loving French.

The purses web site states that it can be worn LH or RH and the strap is for the shoulder. They also have a waist pack.

"...Fallowed(sic) by...Man Ear Rings and High Heels..." Nope, it'd be a 'Tactical man purse, Tactical earrings and Tactical high heels'.

Well they do have alot of cool pouches and stuff on their site and it is available in camo:

I know the site says it can be carried on either the left or the right (cross shoulder ex. on right hip over left shoulder). But looking at the strap configeration it is obvious the ergonomics would be wrong. Also that would put the cell phone pocket behind you. They added that left or right thing on their website as a ps. I am sure they got allot of people who carry concealed with the same thoughts I had asking. I might try their waist pack pictured above. I often have to carry lots of junk for my job and that might be handy.

So, most responses seem to be either

"Oh, it's sorta European. We don't like European's this week. Well, we like German guns. And Czech guns. But we hate everything else. Except maybe the Swedish Bikini Team"

or ...

"If I wear that someone might think I'm not masculine! And of course all I care about is what other people think of my masculinity."

Looks like a useful variation on the fanny pack / camera bag concept. I don't see myself buying or wearing one, but that's because my waist is wide enough already without hanging more stuff off of it. :neener:

Well like allot of people I find myself carrying more and more junk. For the most part I make do with my pockets. Infact the extra leg pocket on my carhart pants for my surefire is a big help. I really hate having stuff in my pockets to begin with. I don't imagine carrying this in my personal life I will continue to make do with a bunch of stuff on my pockets that I have to dig for. I am on the other hand looking for something like this that I will use for work. In addition to all the other junk like flashlight, knife or letherman, wallet, keys, gun, spare mags, pen etc when I work (park ranger) I carry car tags, receipts, latex gloves, radio, pda, cpr mask, bankroll, etc. So while I may not choose this pack as it would interfere with my draw I may get one of there other belt style pack or even the second one posted above.

I didn't imagine practical use for allot of people I was more making a joke of a tactical man purse.

I have the Thermite, which Sunspot posted a pic of. Overall it is very well made, the Thermite is either a shoulder bag or a leg pouch. The only complaints I have is that the "belt" does not go all the way around, it is connected to the pouch at both ends. Its box(?) stitched, but I've had stuff fail when attached like that, I would prefer an adjustable belt (this one only goes a bit larger than a 40 inch waist) that the pouch is sewn onto. The back of the pouch is mesh, and the leg strap is sewn to this mesh, with nylon backing. I fear the mesh will tear though and let the pouch flip-flop around, but only time will tell. Other than that the nylon is strong, the stiching is good, the velcro is very good and its usefull. Hope that helps.

Kinda reminds me of some baggy, polka-dotted button-down shirts I used to wear about 5 years ago.

My girlfriend said, "Only a very gay or very straight man would wear that." :scrutiny:

I have one sitting under my Christmas tree. My motivation for carrying one is probably different from most. I need my to carry medical supplies for my diabetes. It's big enough for me carry my syringes, glucometer, insulin (a freezy packs to keep it cool) and some food. Carrying a firearm is not an option for me since I live in NJ. A friend of mine has one and carries his EMT supplies in it. I doubt I will carry it everyday but it will be helpful for day trips, short hikes, etc. I also have one of Maxpedition's M-2 waistpacks for my daily carry of my glucometer and some snacks. I have not even unwrapped it yet and my wife is already refering to it as my man purse. The quality of the M-2 is top notch.

OK, so besides a gun and spare ammo, let me see all the stuff I usually carry around:

- Wallet, keys, pepper spray, LED light
- Cell phone, extra battery, Bluetooth headset
- PDA
- Sunglasses, clipons for prescription glasses
- Surefire light
- Leatherman Wave
- Small sebenza
- Lens cleaning cloth
- Bic lighter
- Lip balm, breath strips
- Prescription drugs

If I am going for a walk in the woods add a GPS and Sat phone. Given all this crap, a man purse or - jokingly - the Seinfeld "European Carryall" is a great choice for me. Carrying all that stuff on my person is distracting and uncomfortable and where any one item may be also depends on what clothing I am wearing that day. Is my headset in a cargo pants pocket - wait I'm wearing jeans so maybe its in my jacket pocket. Nuts, left that in the car.

I usually use a Galco fanny pack, the construction quality is meant for the weight of a gun so it carries all this stuff with ease. Being anal about "my stuff" everthing has a place and I can be assured I have what I think I have. However, I usually don't wear it as a fanny pack. I toss it over the shoulder as a mini-bag. Never had a "fag bag" comment or draw the eyes of a cop.

A very practical way to accmodate the "accoutrements of life".

I have one. Otherwise known as a "shell pouch" or "shotgunning pouch." The vests were too expensive, and now I suffer by having to wear a purse... :p

If I wear that someone might think I'm not masculine! And of course all I care about is what other people think of my masculinity.

Person in Sailor Moon outfit: "I can dress up like this because I'm secure in my masculinity."

Person not in Sailor Moon outfit: "Even so, you're still wearing a bra."

My point is, security in your masculinity only goes so far. I think many of us draw the line at wearing a purse...

Despite my former snide comments, the Proteus Versapack is probably the first fanny-pack I'd consider wearing.

Even then, not every day, but for hiking, flea markets, outings, that sort of thing it looks pretty usable. Also as a quick grab pouch of the most important essentials strapped to one of thier larger packs looks pretty nice.

I picked up a Proteus Versapack at a gunshow recently. My original intent was to use it as a mini-range bag, but since then it has transformed into a mini-BOB and sometimes hunting bag. It is a very sturdy, well made bag and I have found it very useful for a number of purposes.

Depends how old you are and what you look like. I wore my Wilderness one around because of holster shortage and carrygun breakage :banghead:

Other hip guys my age I see carrying the Oakley ones (you know the ones with the shotshell loops...tactical) and I don't get a second look. If you're a clean cut buff white guy who wears a Hawaiian shirt and Oakley cap you could get taken as a cop....
