I promised to post pics. If I can savvy it, I will starting with this one. I'm training myself to shoot "gunslinger" style.

Does official pro-to-call require one to wear a red shirt and suspenders when shooting a Walker...???? :D :neener:

Yep, lotsa fun:D!!! The "cowboy" style wear is required for SASS shooting which I am becoming involved in so I thought I would dress for the pics. The red shirt is one of the blouses I have and I'm adding to the wardrobe as I can. I'm on a weight loss regime and have lost 35 lb. since the beginning of the year so I only add if the prices are RIGHT. Anyway, dressing up kinda makes it a little more fun; almost like Cowboys and Indians for the over 30 bunch!!

I am shooting paper bullets, kinda like what the thread on THR describes. I am only doing the powder part and add the ball as I load. I will try adding a lubed felt wad over the powder and eliminate the grease over the ball, which seems to be my least favorite part of shooting. This way of loading sure lets me shoot more and increases the fun:). I am going to try the nitrocellulose shellac to eliminate leftover paper.

Anyway, shooting the Walker is really, really great fun!

Old Fluff is on to something. An official uniform for the Walker Club Everyone who is a member when posting a photo of them shooting should be similarly attired. Yea, Nay? Just a thought on a lazy Sunday night.

Fluff, I think I'll try to make a holster/ scabbard for that rascal out of an elephant's trunk. I don't know where else I could get a big enough and tough enough piece of material. Then maybe I'll put a couple of wheels from an old shopping cart on the bottom of the holster to drag the thing around on. I might have to use an old steel belted tire for the belt to hang that thing from. A regular leather gunbelt won't hold up.
I kind of think of my Walker as having an early experimental version of the 'aimpoint'. It also comes in handy when shooting at the range. I can 'adjust' my score from the firing line and nobody will even notice. It has that .44 cal pointy thing...

Sltm1,

Is this what you had in mind?

If only we could get Uberti to build something like this, we would defnitely have the very best and most accurate Walker ever made.
