Stuff To Them, but we can't buy a new machine gun. MISSILE PARTS TO OUR ENEMIES! Come on, man! LETS GET REAL!

I couldn't read the whole article. It's too early in the day to become enraged at my age. Someone read it and say it isn't so, OK?

Woody

It is way past time we in this country got back to arming ourselves the way our Founding Fathers so wisely saw fit to insure us the impunity to do so in the Constitution. B.E.Wood

I want missile parts so I can launch back when they launch at us! What in Hades is wrong with that!

Odd, governments can imprison people, torture people, launder money, make and sell drugs, arms and ammo, own automatic weapons, chemical weapons, nukes.... Legally. With no fear of any kind of trouble at all.

I don't hear the UN saying anything about that. I here them talk jive about "arms dealers" but they act as if the "dealers" just invent the stuff when we can all be sure it is being sold by Russia, China, et cetera to the "arms dealers".

:fire:

Arms dealers are just the cut outs for state action. You saw Lord of War, right?

Bingo. Great movie, by the way...

But yeah, the arms dealers have to get the goods from someone, they dont just pull it out of thin air. There is some sort of government complicity on at least one end of every transaction.

In one case, convicted middlemen for Iran bought Tomcat parts from the Defense Department's surplus division. Customs agents confiscated them and returned them to the Pentagon, which sold them again - customs evidence tags still attached - to another buyer, a suspected broker for Iran.

Actually, that's an interesting way to raise revenue. Sell the same parts over and over again. They just need to Lojack the stuff a little better so they can keep catching it before it makes it to international waters...
