Is there a gun I am missing the size of a Kahr p9 with a safety? How big are the Beretta 900's? I currently own the a Sig 225, SW3913, SW4013, and am waiting for my new CS9 to show up.

3913LS?

Maybe it's just psychological but my LS "seems" thinner than my 3913.. I know it conceals perfectly, and I prefer the flat base mag when I'm cc it. Since the LS has an external safety only on the left side guess that accounts for some of the difference.

FWIW,

I think you're in for a treat IF the CS9 fits your hands.. I cc my CS9 more than any of my other 9mm compacts because it just fit my hands perfectly. I've read where folks who find the grips too thick can buy a cut down 3913 grip and apparently it makes the CS9 thinner, and fits more hands better... There is a guy who does this and you can "google" and find his name should you need it. I'm happy with my factory CS9 grips.

Best Wishes,

Jesse

P.S. for what it's worth I SOLD a Walther PPS to pay for my "LS" and consider it a good tradeoff.. The Walther is THIN, but I hated the Glocklike trigger and it wasn't reliable.. My 3rd gen Smith have always been reliable and that's a big deal to me.

My 3913 is the LS (same as you picture, but I put hogues on it). I don't really need another carry gun but am always looking for an addition to the collection. The Walther PPS is on my list, but am waiting for prices to come down a little. I tend to buy used alot but look for 95% or better. Most used guns aren't really ever used. I was just looking for something new to bid on, on one of the action site. I'm sure I am missing a great carry gun out there.

FWIW:

In the past I've been a big Walther fan, (P1/P5/PP/P99c/AS/P99/AS) and they were all excellent pistols. Then I jumped on an early PPS and it developed ejection problems that were never recitified and S&W eventually sent me a new replacement. The replacement PPS burped one time and I sold it.

Reliability is job one for me in a self defense firearm, and the PPS simply didn't meet that requirement. Third gen. Smiths have a great reputation for reliability and I feel well armed with my CS9, or LS, in that if I pull the trigger it will fire, every time..

Opinions are like, well you know, and mine is no more valuable than that of another person.. But it's more valuable to ME..:D

Best Wishes,

Jesse

P.S. As to the Beretta suggested. I know Beretta makes fine firearms, but in my one experience with Beretta Customer Service I was so badly treated that I swore off Beretta's forever..

Springfield Armory EMP = Enhanced Micro Pistol
9mm LUger 9 rd mags.

SA shortened the length of the 1911 mag well and width
to the size of the 9x19 cartridge, so it has a smaller
diameter grip but in all other respects control wise it is a 1911
with frame mounted ambi safety, grip safety and good sights.

I think the .40 S&W version shipped recently, it is slightly longer
in grip length, with a steel instead of alloy frame. I handled a 9mm
EMP and I have long but not beefy hands and I had a full grip, nice
balance I think SA has a winner.
