Anyone have one in this barrel length and do you like it? Thought it would be easier to keep in the jeep and use in the woods than the 5 1/2 inch barrel version.
Thinking about a Ruger 22/45 MKIII 4" BBL

Yes, I have both. And yes the 4 inch just feels better to me. Dont know why but it is comfortable. Sits in the door well or console of the pickup when I ventue to the woods. Was able to pick up some extra mags that help burn up ammo and add to my plinking fun.
I've got one, and it's boringly reliable and accurate. I always bring it with me to the range because, well I always bring a .22. It's a great shooter. It's never choked on any ammo short of the under powered lead nose junk that couldn't cycle the action well and jammed the soft nose against the sharp edge of the feed ramp.
If I'm going camping, it goes in the truck. I've got about 2000 rounds through it, and I don't think I have ever taken it apart to clean it well. A little break free and a bore snake and wipe the gunk out of as much of the action and I can. Good enough.
They are very handy. Mines a couple years old and has fixed sites. About as barebones as you can get.
