I currently carry a Ruger SP101 with a 3" barrel. I have never had to use it, and it has always been fun shooting and reliable. I was thinking about stepping it up though. I want a little more gun just in case. Ideally for me it would have fixed sights, like my SP. I want to have a sixth chamber, unlike my SP. Also, I would prefer a 4" barrel. Obviously quality is important, and with that in mind there aren't very many options. I was wondering what you all thought of the Speed Six for concealed carry, it fits the bill ideally. If not the Speed Six how about any of the other Six's or the GP100? Any other firearm I should consider?

Smith & Wesson model 13 or model 65. The Colt version was called Mark III 'Trooper' if my memory serves me right.:scrutiny:

The Colt MK III, MK V and King Cobras are good guns. The MK V and King Cobra's are updated versions of the MK III action. Any of them are quality guns and are very stoutly constructed. Expect to pay a bit to a good bit more for one over a Ruger. However, Colt DA revolvers are one of the best investments you can buy. The price on many of them has nearly doubled in the past decade.

I have more than one 4" .357, but don't want to do much CCW with them. I have a MK III Lawman in 2". It still is a handful of gun.
