629-4 with 5 inch barrel. Bought it new in 1994. Right at a hundred rounds though it over the years. Not the DX model. Sale would include 120 rds of assorted mag ammo and 50 rds of empty brass. As with all my firearms it has been well taken care of and this one has never seen a holster. Haven't shot it in over five years. Just collecting dust in the safe. Hammer mounted firing pin & no lock. Original box & ppwk.
Doing my research the last few days I see prices ranging from $700 to $1000. If I do offer it for sale, and I'm still on the fence, what is a realistic price. Welcome all opinions. Thanks in advance.

With a little patience, you should be able to get $950-1,000. That's a great configuration for that gun.

Around here, $800 for a used 629 like that would be a good price. New ones locally go for $830. Been a highly desirable 629 Mountain Gun, about 95%, for sale at my LGS for $850 for quite a while. I've told the owner when it hits $799 I'll take it. Last time I was in there he said he's seriously considering it.

5", full underlug, no lock for $830 new? Is that gun (no lock version) still being made?

I have no dog in this fight-----BUT having said this----your gun would probably have a price tag of $1100.00 in my local gun shop---and frankly it is worth every penny.. Come on guys---IT HAS NO LOCK HOLE !!!

I 'only' own four 629s. Two mountain guns and two 4 inch standards (629-1s). All 'no-lock' and all with chromed hammer and triggers. All excellent guns.

Now the 5 incher is intriguing. I see it's the 'enhanced' with stronger lockwork BUT it has a underlug (I'd prefer it didn't.) Has rounded butt to.

Would love to play with it but, well, kind of hard to convince wife I need a FIFTH one.

$800 and it'd sell pretty quickly. $1,000 with all the goodies you have and it'd sell, but it'd take a little longer.
