thinking of sending my baby eagle to manufacturer

Here are the problems I am having with it:

1. The grip screws come loose after about 50 rounds. I know I can fix this with some Loc-tite, but you know what, I shouldn't have to.

2. It never fails to fire, or fails to eject, but occassionally it will fail to feed. I could probably fix this with some different springs or polishing the feed ramp. Once again, I shouldn't have to.

3. The double action trigger is atrocious. It is gritty and stages. I could change out the springs, but guess what, I shouldn't have to.

4. Every time I break it down and put it back together, the next time at the range, it is shooting to a different spot. I don't think this is me.

5. There are parts that aren't finished fully, like under the slide release.

Send it in or fix it myself?

I agree with you 100%
Thats what cracks me up about 1911 owners.They spend $500 on one and another $500 replacing stock parts.MY 1911 has been 100% reliable from round one using stock parts and i intend to leave it that way.Guns should work from the factory-send it back!

What type of ammo fails to feed? My .45 BE hates flatpoint ammo and refuses to fire them, spits out everything else just fine. You might wanna check the mag too, when I got mine I ended up bending the lip a tiny bit :banghead: and now that mag fails to feed if I put more than 9 in it, works fine with the new mag tho.
