This is what we face

Wow. Just more of the divisive insanity we face. Finger on trigger. Showing a semi-automatic rifle used in only 1 to 2 percent of atrocities involving firearms. Kids set in a gun-free zone school gym, where mass murderers know they won't be stopped, when their insanity and murder raises its ugly head.

There is so much wrong with that picture, I wonder if this organization's outrage would be better served to demand action from our own administration to enforce laws already on the books, dealing with firearms and their tragic uses.

Our own justice department white papers have shown this administration's gun control facade would have close to zero impact on violent crimes.

Misguided action by this organization, and the gun control facade this administration has cooked-up, has wasted millions of dollars of taxpayer money, to try to disarm law-abiding citizens of this country, instead of taking steps to enforce laws already on the books, and prosecuting the deranged mass murderers of children, men and women.

Had this much effort gone into actually stopping insane, murderous criminals, instead of trying to impose a useless political agenda driven by emotion, we could have been much further down the road to stopping these heartbreaking murderous atrocities.

This is what our country gets, when an administration uses divisiveness, lies, propaganda, and emotion to achieve goals that completely will not stop the violent crime they claim to be addressing.

I'm saddened beyond belief, that the organization and picture above, show a complete lack of reality based thinking, if they really want to stop murders of children in gun free zones.

My emotions about the tragedies involving children have just made me shed more tears, and some of them, because of the complete lack of competency and false political agenda this administration has pursued.

I clicked on the link expecting to see a picture of 30 guys waiting outside Academy before opening.

Stupid, shameless ad playing on emotions and contradicting fact.

There is no federal law banning dodgeball. There is no federal law requiring a background check for handling a dodgeball. Even a violent felon may own a dodgeball. There is no constitutional right to keep and bear dodgeballs.

There is of course, a constitutional right to keep and bear arms, an existing background check system for firearms, and existing laws precluding firearms ownership by felons.

I'll send an email to Shannon for this picture

Same foundation.

Hey, at least that one doesn't show poor trigger discipline!

Also, has any school actually banned a book merely for the inclusion of a bottle of wine in the story? If so, public education has really, really gone down the drain.

I thought the same and was going to point out that the gun doesn't appear to be pointed in a safe direction.

Little Red

This is the email I just sent.

"Ms. Watts,

I've come across the attached picture and wanted to find more information about it as it appears to there is a violation of law related to a gun on school property (more specifically a school library). Not only this, based on recent news events there seems to be a need to contact CPS from what appears to be an unsupervised child holding a weapon pointed in an unsafe direction.

Please advise on the name of the school so that I may contact the proper authorities and have this addressed immediately.

Regards,"

Enough with the G* D* political correctness. WE need a widespread media blitz with images that evoke anger, fear, & sadness. Here are a few idea -

- picture a dark alley; lady's shoe & maybe an empty purse (really being tame here 'cause it can get a hell of a lot more graphic); tagline "Call 911 or be trained to caryy a 9mm pistol?"

- Darkened house; multiple guys trying to break in; tagline "6-shots are sometimes not enough".

- The usual pics of atrocities throughout history...; tagline "maybe not this administration or the next."

- Rodney King riots, Korean store owners defending their own; tagline "This is why we need more than 6-rounds."

Listen, I'm an IT guy - I'm sure marketing folks can come up with crap that is a helluva lot better if they put their minds to it. We should not play nice any longer. We need to say the truth. It ain't about hunting, skeet, or tin-cans. It's about saving one's own bacon. I totally don't understand why we don't go there each and every time. I seriously don't know why we kow-tow to the anti's. At this point, I don't think I would pee on an anti if they were on fire.

These are the same idiots that ban kickoffs in football yet are okay with the terrible food and the lowering of grading standards in schools. I am surprised one of them managed to edit the caption in paint and i applaud them for that - even if they do not get how completely, well, 'wrong' they are in their terribly narrow-minded and inconsistent cause.

I kinda miss Obama's whimper posturing over this.

THANK YOUR SENATOR, (if they voted Nay yesterday)
Or take the time to shame them

keep the pressure up on our side, make sure this NEVER sees the light of day again...
and be careful, Reloading is next...

They have a Facebook page.... I just posted, we'll see how long before I get kicked off.

I did the same. I commented on both pics. Or, should i say, i tried to comment on both. My first comment went thru. When i hit enter to post my 2nd comment on the 2nd pic i was denied permission.
That was fast.

And i just went back to check on my 1st comment.
Yep, it was deleted AND, i no longer have access to the comment box.
COWARDS !!

I'm not saying it isn't, but how in the world can you tell? I copied it to my clipboard and blew up the image, but it was too low res to make out a tiny 3rd pin.

Well, I could be wrong; but it is a Colt gray pin in a black receiver above the safety selector. There is pretty much only one pin in that location and it isn't on an AR15. Didn't even need to blow it up to see it because of the contrast with the receiver.

I bet that kid in the first picture had to get all the smiles and giggles out before the picture was taken..

Have to say though a lot of forum members disproved their statements of "well if they went after the first amendment as hard as they go after the second amendment..."

Keeping a childrens book out of a federally funded school sounds like censorship. So they do go after the first amendment. Yeah there shouldn't be that "art form" known as porn in schools, but Little Red Riding Hood and Tom Sawyer? Come on.

If I were convinced that the photos were actually of kids with real guns in a school, I would have already filed a complaint with the US Attorney's Office in Atlanta.

Maybe you should go ahead and file the complaint gc70 and let them investigate it ?

Apparently dodge ball was determined to be practice for dodging other sorts rubber projectiles... not ideal if your ultimate goal is unflagging Conformity, Compliance and Obedience :p

I nearly did. The USAO's number was in the fax machine, my cover letter was in the input tray, and I was waiting for the webpage with the pictures to finishing printing when I noticed the fringing and artifacts around the kids.

Reporting something you believe is a crime is proper; falsely reporting something you do not believe to be a crime is definitely not.

This is sad. I noticed that the white kids are holding the guns. Is that a racist reference too?

Went to the Facebook page and made two very moderate replies refuting some other comments and I was blocked from commenting. Total time from first post to block was less than 2 minutes.

Regarding their facebook page, post a complaint with FB regarding someone posting unsafe gun handling INSIDE of schools by CHILDREN and their page will likely get pulled.

As for sending this out for investigation, it's not OUR place to decide if it's been photoshopped. It's our duty to report what appears to be kids mishandling "high powered weapons" inside of a school. Let the investigators sort it out - and the inconvenience it brings, well, sorry...
