Cheers people,

Anybody here ever watch a show on Oxygen called "Talk Sex with Sue"?

Watching that show and reading forums, including this one - a person has to just stop and go "How the H*ll are these people still alive!!!"

I know that some of the posting's that I've done still bother me, the ones I read here almost daily are another example - people are STUPID when it comes to their own lives!

As pinance, one of the clubs I belonged to in college had to do "public service" to be allowed back on campus. We started a "crisis counseling" program that eventually evolved into "rape/crisis". Any woman that believes that she's "big and can kick" to defend herself against a rapist is almost too stupid to be considered "breeding material".

My first wife was one of the TV generation - I had to take her out to an abandoned house and PROVE to her that you CAN shoot through walls - "They don't do that on TV", and showing her about hiding behind car doors was another experience I don't want to go through again!

I'm about to the point where, if I can't convince people about their own protection being their own priority, I just give up and tell them to enjoy their life - short as it will be.

I've got a "friend" who doesn't own a gun, won't own a gun, but sure likes shooting mine and my ammo. He was here the other night when I was loading up one of my "house guns" and he laughingly asked "who you gonna stop from coming in, Russ? Who you gonna stop?" My resopnse was - "I may not stop him coming in, but he'll leave in a bag! He then asked "What if it's me?" I said - "guess it's gonna be a BIG bag."

I don't remember which forum I first ran across the phrase "sheeple" - but it sure fits!!!

If you can't convince them in an hour - then leave them and don't look back! They're just another wasted stastic - shame on them!

Odds are very good that they will live just as long as you. Most people will never be in a situation where their life is seriously threatened by someone, at least in that a gun would solve the situation. That's OK. What many fail to understand, and the source of your frustration it would seem, is that if you ARE in a situation like that, you REALLY need a gun. Sounds like you've got a decent start on letting go of the desire to control the destiny of other folks. That's good, as that need to control others ain't a freedom minded way to be.
 
A lot of tv amounts to no more than 'feelgood' shows and propoganda. The audience compares themselves to the dumbasses thereby feeling superior, all the while learning how to assume 'victimization' status. The consistent message is that government is needed to protect you. MSM news is the same.
 
I gave up on people in general long ago... Now if they don't show interest in the first couple seconds of a firearms related convesation AND show a spark of intelligence behind thier eyes, I move on.

I don't talk to people much anymore, but my dog's a gun guru! :neener: :evil:
 
AH, now I see your problem. You watch the Oxygen channel. For that you SHOULD be flamed.

Realistically speaking, the only life you can save is your own.

I always try to reason with people who decline to accept responsibility for their own lives, but if they've already got their minds made up and aren't about to be confused by facts, that's their right. I wouldn't dream of forcing them to live by my standards, and certainly don't plan to let them force me to live by theirs—if such can be called "standards," that is.
 
That show is hilarious!:p Congrats on your epiphany re sheeple. Unfortunately kfranz is correct, most will live as long as you. And you are right when I look back on all the things in my life, I should be dead many times over. I can only conclude God is amused enough by me to keep me around for a while longer.;)
 
Yep, hollywierd and all the related liberal pukes have consistently shown that their personal lives are crap with little real meaning or lasting relationships. They have consistently shown that their lives are out of control.
Yet, strangely, they have this rare ability to go with their rare celebrity that allows them to know what is best for YOU. Yes, they can't run their own lives, but they can run yours if you listen to them. Wrong about everything, but right about you and the country. I guess if the whole country was a big cesspool like the one they live in, life would be good. Of course, no guns can be allowed for the few hicks that don't agree with them.:confused: :uhoh: :rolleyes::scrutiny: :eek: :fire:
