I purchased an older style Thompson Center Contender today. It is a stainless steel model in .45LC/.410 10" barrel with removable choke tube.
This pistol has never been shot, the guy bought it and just put it in the safe.
My question is: Do I remove the choke tube when shooting .45LC or just leave the choke tube in to shoot both .45LC/.410?
Thanks for the help.

The choke comes out for the use of bulleted ammunition. Failure to do so may not ruin the gun but it will definitely put the hurt on you if you are attached to the gun, and I assume you would be. For a very vivid and unforgettable demonstration, hire someone else to do it so you can stand back and watch.
