So the VAST majority of my airgun shooting is either spring or SSP. I do have a really nice SIG P225 CO2 replica that rarely gets shot. Mostly because of the trigger and noise it generates.

at any rate I got a bug up my butt last night to run some pellets through it. So I rummage around and find some CO2 cartridges from like 18 years ago. Popped one in and ...... off to the races. Those things last for damn ever. :)

As an aside, whether it’s from using better pellets or just being more accustomed to varying quality’s of triggers the gun was more accurate then I remember so ended up being more fun then I remember. I may have to put some more trigger time behind it.

At any rate moral of the story is those little CO2 carts. Must have an insane shelf life.

I had some small bottles for a old luger copy I had. Think they were made during or after ww2. They were smaller 6-8 oz they had to be 50 years old when I shot them. I'm not even 100% if they were co2 could have been Freon.

Why wouldn’t they If one thinks about it . Unless they get damaged and leak there isn’t any thing to chemical change or decay.
One past hobby was beer brewing I still have mini kegs that were co2 powered by the 12gram cartridges. Been in the cellar for a decade or more now. Guess they could be use for a CO2 pistol also.
