Thoughts for holster for S&W 65-1 3" OWB

I originally posted this in the holster subforum in general...but it seems like no one ever goes there.


I'm trying to decide whether I want to get a high ride or a low ride.

This will be for range/winter CC/and Open carry.


Models in question:
FIST #7 or #12 (both low ride?)
or UBG Bonneville (high ride) vs Phaetos (low ride)


I welcome your opinions.

Seems like a lower riding holster might be easier to draw faster?

That's what I'm thinking...

Just wondering if I will still be able to conceal it with a low ride in the winter.

But i guess that just depends on the coat...so maybe I just need some longer coats

I've got both. I bought several on evil bay for the K frame and that is what I use for almost all my carry. I just don't like the high ride. Got 2 of those by Bianchi. If you want, Hunter makes a reasonably good holster for OWB in what your looking for.
