My father has had a Palmetto Armory AR-15 for some years now that has serial numbers that do not come back as the gun even existing. The sheriff that tried to run the numbers tried everything but found nothing. What does this mean & I know that Palmetto is not as high of quality as other AR-15 manufacturers but what would the general appraisal cost be of the gun? My father only paid about $300 for it a number of years ago & has since had minor things done to it (new grips, forend, collapsible stock, nice red-dot scope, etc.) so its not exactly stock. Thanks for any info & feedback.
