Thoughts on Surplus CZ 83 ?

Great pistola at a GREAT PRICE... you'll love it... VERY accurate, simple, dependable shoot.
Definitely a 'must have' in a CZ Collection!!!
Two of my CZ favorites...

Cz 82/83 sweet trigger, simple fast field strip, mine is most accurate with the inexpensive Russian ammo... Brown Bear or Silver Bear. I've had to send mine to CZUSA twice to be worked on. I don't hold this against the gun... I think the former owner may have left some parts out when he stripped it down to Duracoat the gun. The up side to this is I got to form an opinion about their service, AAA. I've been happy with all my CZ's.

Have one and its a great piece...serves as a truck gun. Very strong and have used hotted up hand loads to 1080 fps (95 gr),,fun and accurate.
Prissied it up with Marashal (sp?) grips.

I ordered the grips off the CZ USA website for my CZ83 in 9x18. They fit like a glove - perfect - but I'm not sure I like the color contrast.

Ignore the Ruger with new grips alongside.

I would double check on the condition. My first one was in great shape and functions like a charm. My second (for my daughter), had some issues with the magazine release. I tore it down and tried to clean it up, but it’s just plain stiff. Other than that it’s a great piece as well. It’s really a great feeling gun and for the price, everyone who appreciates CZ should consider owning one.
