Thoughts on this AR-9

Yeah, you're not gonna find another AR 9mm pistol for that good a price and isn't saddled with that stupid and completely useless forward assist. I bought a 9mm upper from PSA that has it and I absolutely hate it. Upper works great tho, but I ended up spending more on my build than had I just bought that pistol from PSA.

Cool. Let me know how they work for you. I may get some to try.

Got the springs today. Trigger went from 7lbs, to just over 4. :D

HOWEVER, final approval won't happen till after a range trip on Saturday to confirm reliability and no light primer strikes.

Took it to the range today. Shot 100 rds of Federal and Winchester ammo. No problems. :D Now it's really fun to shoot.

What an exciting day at the range! I took my AR9 and the AR15 (5.56). The AR9 has a PSA built standard lower and an AR-Stoner upper in 9mm. The buffer and spring are heavyweight. Going through 50 rounds with the 9mm,.... about after25 rounds the gun "Doubled." The remaining 25 rounds went off as usual.,. I was impressed with the speed that the gun got off two rounds.
Gunny, can I assume I should change the dis-connector spring OR............... add excitement to my life and hope it happens again only more frequently! :)
The 223 shot up 100 rounds perfectly. Thanks Mr. Stoner.

I have found that some of the standard mil spec disconnectors tend to have rough edges. I started stoning the sides of them. Just use a nice Arkansas stone with a little oil. Lay the disconnectors on the stone and move it back and forth. Check often and do both sides, but remember that you are only trying to remove the rough edges.
If you just replace the spring and the edges are still rough, things will not change.
