hi all i guess can tell by name i have a 257 Weatherby.I am thinking of trading it for a Weatherby vanguard sub moa in a 30-06.Is it a mistake or improvment? the 257 shoots great but cant handle the 80$ a box ammo.
I can buy almost 3 boxes of 30-06 with premium bullets for 1 of the weatherby. Also does anyone know much about the sub moa's

If you reload, I'd keep the 257. If you don't reload, don't want to reload, or for some reason can't reload, the 30.06 is a supremely nice rifle.

Not sure on the vanguards though.

No way I would trade the 257 for a 30-06,especially if used for hunting.
